In the morning we went up with the cable car to the Parador de Fuente De (900m). When we got at the top it was 4 degrees and foggy. Luckily after a while some parts cleared and we could see the famous peaks.  After a walk we had lunch in Potes and went for a drive just to see more of the beautiful ...

By morning we were really itching to get out of this place. Literally and metaphorically.

We took a short walk to Villaviciosa, somewhere we took a wrong turn and ended up spending most of our walk on a narrow and winding highway. It was early enough in the morning that there weren't many vehicles, but enough semi's sped by to keep us moving quickly.

From there we took a bus to Gijón, and walked from the ...

... I was too bummed to finally have a reason to put on my new blue rain jacket though ;) We paused under the bus stop shelter and put on our pack covers and rain gear, although mom and Abby had sent theirs ahead in Santander in the spirit of losing some pack weight.

On our way out of town, I remembered that our destination today was very rural, and so we turned around to stock up at the grocery store. I looked forward to spaghetti all ...
