Gijon
Left 'Cangas de onis' and headed for the coast. Although it was nice being back by the sea, I miss the Picos mountains.Gijon itself is a nice city with a good surf beach. Picos De Europa
Definitely the highlight of the trip so far. A superb mountain range in the heart of Asturias. Drove up a steep road full of narrow passings to a couple of beautiful lakes 'Lago de Ercina' and 'Lago de Enol'. From here there are many walking routes that take you up to a couple of mountain refuges, which offer a good selection of beer.Did a couple of walks along the lakes and up to one of the refuges for a drink. ...

... know a HUGE BUS IS BARRELING THROUGH. It did not even seem as though we were slowing down through these waterfalls or turns as well. The other tiny cars were zipping past along the raging river(the barricade on the side of the road was just a flimsy metal rail.

... in the tap and is impossible to repair as the connections are moulded into the plastic. So it was a quick trip to Canis de Onis to try and find a switch for a makeshift repair.
We managed to get a small switch from a hardware shop through sign language and drawings. Back at the campsite I rigged it up so that you have to flick the switch on and off to start and stop the water flow. A bodge I know but hey it ...
