... front of us. We had three likely lads from Liverpool next to us all intent on getting themselves completely written off for the evening. When I say lads they were 60 plus and just there to let their hair down. Lucky they were 60 + as they ran outa gas at about 10.45 and went to bed to sleep it off. Its really warmed up now and at 30 degrees we decided to head to the beach but it was a little difficult to swim as the current dragged you up the beach as soon as your ...

... from a missed turn in Capbreton which was always going to be tricky and Don suffering a puncture, everything went smoothly all the way to our hotel in Ciboure. The forests, lakes and beaches of this area are an outdoor lovers dream, with campsites and bike paths stretching for ...

It's 8 o'clock and its time to get up. After a quick breakfast it was time to pack up and say a fond farewell to St Jean de Luz and move on. The crossing of the border into Spain was.....well frankly disappointing as there is no official border crossing any more so we were in the Spain before ...

... we hadn't found one the day before, we were on the lookout again. We walked through the centre of town and didn’t see a single restaurant that was open! All the ones in the guidebook were closed for the winter… We decided to check out the other side of town instead, and walked back along the waterfront. It was extremely windy so we didn’t linger for long. We headed down a street that had tables out and a signboard in front of ...
