... life! After a walk around we headed for the French border. The sat nav took us on the coast road which was a bit like the Bilgola bends only it went for miles and miles. Fortunately we made it in one piece and are staying very close to the beach on the outskirts of St Jean de Luz. ... had just finished with Hawaii's Coco Ho making it to the semis. We got to watch Bede surf his 3rd round heat at a spot called Le Penon, about 3km from Hossegor. The sandy beaches of this area stretch from Biarritz to Bordeaux. that's 250km of sandy coastline!!!!!! AMAZING and truly beautiful!! ... but after some perseverance we were able to find it. And very impressive it was too, although the photos will not do it credit. We then drove on to Sabres and the Eco Musee Marqueze. You cannot get to the park by car but by train so after parking up at the station it was a 10 minute ride on a Diesel engine with very old wooden carriages to the site it self. watched the Tom Cruise film ‘Minority report’. The next day the surf was the
same as usual, perfect and not many people out. The next day we went on another
cycle up to the forest. It took about 1 and half hours until we got back home
