... up about 460 feet up into the air. It is considered one of the largest fountains in the world and is Geneva's most famous landmark.

My absolute favorite thing I saw in Geneva was the chocolate grocery store. Yes, a grocery store filled with only chocolate. Can you say heaven on earth?

Although I wished I would have been able to stay longer, at the end of the day we had to venture back to the airport to hop on a plane to Paris.

... made of Gruyère cheese and bread. It was good and gen loved it but if I am going to be honest, I don't need to eat it again...perhaps I'd dip my raw vegetables in the cheese but when in Switzerland do what the Swiss do. I made a nice large salad and washed down the cheese with salad and hot tea. Gen is feeling better and is tolerating food again which is nice and just in time for Germany where she swears we will find the best food... W'll have to see about that ...

... have free wifi but it didn't work so I left gen to read her Kobo and walked around to find free wifi next to impossible but I managed 30mins if I didn't move just enough time to contact our next host Ioan. ... visit. Actually it could be worth staying in Lausanne where it might be cheaper and doing day trips to Geneva, Nyon, and Montreux. It would, however be less convenient to go to Mont Blanc. I think we did quite well actually – the total cost of the trip was £400 inclusive of everything [60 for flights, 60 for accommodation, 120 for tour, 60 for boat and train, and 100 on everything else including eating, shopping and transfers to/from both ...

... gondola- this one a large car holding about 25 people and we arrive at the very top but still only 3,000m...
There is lots of snow in the distance, glaciers and summer skiing.....also a restaurant where I have a bowl of goulash for 12e (15$cad).....it's here I do see a couple of alpinists using sun screen but we are definitely in the minority.
