We enjoy our hotel breakfast in the cool air conditioned comfort of the the hotel. Most of us had a disturbed nights sleep due to the air conditioning cutting in and out all night. We finish lunch and buy our tickets to do a one hour tour of the caves. The tour takes us 60 meters underground to a wonderful constant temperature of 16 to 18 degrees C. We managed to get there in time and haul all our bags onto the train. 30 minutes later we were in Milan where we changed trains, then heading toward Bologna. An hour later in Bologna it was a real rush to change to the next train to Brindisi. Unfortunately I failed to heed my own warning and was scammed into giving 10 Euro to some Greeks (or Gypsies) insisting on helping us carry our bags up ...

Kevin had the boar Bombette with three different fillings one rocket the and Parmesan, one mushroom and bacon, one buffalo mozzarella , I had Orecchiette with a slow cooked meat sauce,both very meaty dishes. Kevin's entree was meatballs and tomato sauce and I had beef carpaccio which is paper thin raw beef cut and served with rocket leaves and Parmesan. We had a half bottle of local Primativo red. Riley, Dad and I swam to a cave that was just a ledge of rock coming over our head.
We got home and jumped in the pool again.
