... camera on holiday is terrible. They suggested that I take it to a French reseller and get it assessed. If it needs to be sent off for repair (and they agree that it hasn't failed because of my misuse)...don't send it off. Buy a new camera, bring the old one back, show receipts and they'll sort it all out. They will confirm it all overnight but that's great customer service Also a slight hiccup in the plan ...

... du lauteret (2000m) followed by the galibier. The tour will take part of the route we rode and campervans were flowing into the best vantage points in significant numbers ( 2 days before stage starting). The day ended with dinner in Bourg D'Oisans next to a river with trout followed by Rob singing Highway to Hell with the local camp band and Rob and Tony being chatted up by an tipsy older Belgium ...

This is to be another epic day in the French Alpes . We were off to take on the mighty Col du Galibier. Woody was having trouble with his knee form previous rides so it was decided that we would hire a bus to take us to Col du Tautaret and then take on the Galibier. Headed out this morning with the intention of riding along the valley and back until I knocked off 100kms. I didn't want to hit any of the mountains at all, purely a flat ride today.

Today we had another climb planned up to Village Notre Dame which is on the opposite side of the valley from alpe d'heuz. The ride up to the Notre dame is just as impressive as the cliff cut road that we rode on from the back of the Sereene Climb. The views were spectacular and the feeling of exposure was real.
