Today we walked Omaha Beach and got a good visual on the magnitude of the D-Day invasion. On June 6, 1944 the Allies finally gained a foothold in France and doomed Nazi Europe to failure. ... are motorway petrol stations about every 20kms. The speed limit (on the motorway) is 130kms but 110 in wet weather. Derek had to pay tolls a couple of times - 8.10 euro and 2.50 euro.
