... North into France to Evian. I didn't see anything particularly stunning that makes their water better than anywhere else, but it is a nice town at the foot of the mountains and was worth a visit. Our final day was pretty much a washout, but fortunately our AirBNB guy has a massive TV and so we had a chillout day, catching up on some schooling, playing Monopoly and watching a couple of movies. Next stop, back into France to Champagne. :-)

... only thing I could do with the rest of the meal - not the fries - was to feed it to the restaurant owner's dog who suddenly became my best friend. Just to inform you what I'd been eating - and to make vegetarian readers feel quite smug and self-satisfied - I understand it to have something to do with pig or veal colons. It's definitely McDonalds for me from now on.

There's so much more I could add, but I'll leave my almost final comments for the people I've spent ...
