It was a really scenic drive - I had no idea that Spain had so many mountains. At points we were driving through the clouds!

... has, and it was pretty cool, I definitely took a lot of pictures. After the castle, we got some ice cream and went to the beach for a few hours. I got burned a decent amount, and could feel it on the train ride home. I got home just in time for dinner, which was delicious after all of the energy I had exerted throughout the day.
Today dawned bright and sunny.
Els Ports campsite is new to ACSI and only charges 12e per night. As it is so remote there is no WiFi. There were several MH's there when we arrived, Dutch, Spanish and French. Checking in was interesting as the owner and his wife only spoke Spanish!
... Mora d'Ebre (Ebro) and Gandesa to the campsite at Arnes - really in the middle of nowhere!
The roads there took us through some wonderful scenery, past ochre orange/red rocks, down gorges and along ridges. There were also large fertile plains with olive groves, vines and almonds

Anyway, today proved that it works to some extent. We cycled on the via verda but going the other way – downhill. After my tunnel experience a couple of days ago, I was armed with a bike light but still dismayed at having to go through my first tunnels within metres of starting the ride. This time however ...
