But there is a run down apartment bldg/motel that backs up to this property and I am not comfortable buying a house that would be empty much of the time in a rather mixed area. My guess is that this area will continue to improve and this property will increase in value. If we were younger and looking to invest for the future this would be a good bet. But we are looking for a place to use in the winter and leave for long periods of time. ...

So far I've covered a wooden letter C with shells, made a picture frame for all 4 kids and built a tree with shells. And there are still plenty of shells left. ... we moved on to a different section with some terrific rides. The all new Falcon's Fury takes you up a 60ft pole, then the seats swing back so you're looking directly at the ground, all you body weight trusted to the harness for a few, looong seconds, before it lets go and you rush to the ground, swinging back to a seated position at the last second. There was a Viking ship ride that swung ...

      Tampa and on board activities

We flew into Tampa, Florida the night before our sail date and stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn. We discovered in 2000 you can "miss the boat" literally if you try flying to the port on the set-sail day. We nearly missed the Celebrity Mercury to Alaska when we were celebrating Kacie's receive her Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

The pictures in this first blog entry are mostly activities on board the ship. ...
