... Stillness not overrated for sleeping. On ship TV played the first season of Game of Thrones and I watched them all. Still not fond of Ned's Death scene. As usual just getting out of Midland is the most difficult part of the journey. Leave on time? if your not on Southwest, forget it. I have never been on a flight where the take off has been aborted. Just as we began to take off the pilot hit the brakes and aborted. If I had eaten breakfast it would have ...

But we are close to the airport for our 7:15am flight to IAH then DCA so it works. We killed enough time driving around looking at stupid stuff that it landed us in Odessa at 5pm.
Our next task was to find a place to eat dinner. Odessa is a food desert....all food chains which is something I try ...

The continuing saga of our journey... Breakfast at Whataburger. Can't get better than that! A very large bull. Oil wells, and windmills and nothing else, oh my! Lunch at truck stop. Yay for air conditioning! Big wreck on I-20. Detoured to frontage road...on the other side of the expressway. Felt like I was driving in New Zealand or something! We saw a train...sad to say we were excited that there was some scenery! Speed limit is 80...we top out at about 65. ...
