Leider ging unser Flug nach Las Vegas von Laredo, Texas aus und nicht von Monterrey...
Deshalb hieß es gleich nach der Präsentation in Intercultural ab ins Taxi und geradeaus zum Busbahnhof. Von dort aus dann mit dem Bus über die Grenze, eine Nacht in nem Motel pennen und dann endlich mit dem Flieger nach Las Vegas.

Hoy hemos realizado una visita rápida a Mexico. A 230Km de San Antonio, se encuentra Laredo (USA) y Nuevo Laredo (Mexico), separados por el famoso Rio Grande. Aparcamos el coche en Laredo y después de una breve visita, cruzamos a pié la frontera, que emoción. A nuestra llegada a Mexico, y depués de pagar 75 centavos, nos encontramos una calle donde allí nos estaban esperando todos los Mejicanos para ofrecernos ...

... until Alpine. we saw the marfi lights and where going to see them tonight. On the way back yesterday when we were coming to the rv mamaw got pulled over by the cops. She was going a little too fast, but was only warned! Papaw might be doing all the driving from now on.

I have questions to answer from Carlene and Aunt Cindy, but i will do that tomorrow, when I have more time!!

... rv, waiting for help. . At 7:50 someone came to help change the tire. Papaw cooked dinner in the microwave while we waited. . I lost my tooth while eating a piece of candy. We limped into Laredo and stayed in the walmart parking lot our first night. They came back to finish the tire at 7:45 a.m. the next morning. We walked to burger king for breakfast, then we had to buy 4 more tires.

... to a taxi stand. I hadn't been to Nuevo Laredo in probably around 5 years or so, and I had heard it had become very dangerous. But everything was fine and went very smoothly. After a $5 cab ride to the Bus Station, we got our tickets and waited to board. The bus station was very nice, and the buses are too. I am really surprised how easy it was to get over into Mexico, and wonder if we may actually have more trouble getting back into the states. -Homero - Nuevo Laredo, Mexico

... of us warmed up better before starting the day's competition. It didn't help much as I took a five on section one and a three on section two. I was able to clean section three and felt better, but that was short lived when I blew section four. I stalled the bike twice on the first loop while on sections that I should have been able to clean. I had raised the idle speed up, but it wasn't enough. After putting in a bad ride on section eight, I asked Ramon Aguirre if my idle was too low ...

... Expert, Senior Expert, and Master Classes would compete in the afternoon. I arrived a little before eight AM and made sure that I was pre-entered and learned that I would be judging the afternoon riders at section three that afternoon. I unloaded and did a quick check of the bike and then talked with some of my fellow competitors. I should have spent some time warming up on the bike before the trial began. It was so cold I just wasn't motivated to get on the bike and ride. This ...

... Mexican Cafe over in Hondo. The food was superb as was the companionship. The service left a lot to be desired and someone had to go off in search of the waitress more than once. After supper, we all retired to the parking lot so Sander could take more pictures. Then we hugged Bill and Hattie and sent them back to Utopia.
