Our travels have taken Kathy back to her childhood home. We ventured up into Michigan to visit Spring Lake. Our first stop was St. Mary's Church. We found out they tore down the original church. Where the church once stood sits a playground. The new church which stands on the other side of the old rectory, is modern and big. Arrived in Milwaukee pretty much on time; bags waiting for us by the time we made it into the station. Interestingly, we ran into two men (a man and his wheelchair-bound dad) who were in the roomette down the hall from us on the sleeper out of Charlottesville and into Chicago. (We think they were coming from Philly.) Kind of interesting to run into them again in Milwaukee.

The waterfront was such a beautiful place, with one side looking out into Lake Michigan and the other to the downtown buildings.
