I chose Binghamton, NY because it was on highway 86 before I got to the little road of 17. I thought I would sleep so I could meet Michelle somewhat refreshed and wanted to travel close to her so I could be there in the morning. ... I had to head south as needed to get below the great lakes before going west. Again, the roads were busy but the drive was scenic. I drove through Saratoga Springs and it looked really interesting. There were all these horse statues and then it hit me...right the horse races!
