We reached a little town called Silverton and checked at the information center, the roads ahead were much worse and there had been a few accidents so we decided we would turn around and head back towards Durango and find somewhere closer to Raton to stay the night. After 3 hours driving in the snow....although we weren't always calm we did get some pretty cool photos.

... grill and get some brats going. Kristine comes outside, and she says, " I think we are at the Bates RV Park"....and I think shes right. We almost opted for staying in the Walmart parking lot (very common I have come to find out!).
Well, we made it through the night, but we decided that our own shower and bathroom are much cleaner than theirs (and definitely no knives).
