    ... could have some peach ice cream. Well, actually I also bought a small candle (at Circle E) and a really nice top and some earrings (at the Wildflower Farm).

    This was the first day of the rally. For dinner we had Italian. Tonight no one stayed behind to play games, but Bridget & Carsten stopped by our place for a visit and we caught up with each others summer travels.

    Probably will not write anything tomorrow night, so hope you have a great couple of ...

    Well, here we are at Miller Creek in Johnson city. This is the site of our Sep Renegade rally. So far there are three couples here, but it's only Monday. More will be coming in all the way til Thursday. Think this is going to be a small rally, according to the office, there are only 17 coaches reserved at this time. We arrived about 3pm, back into the heat. We are using the air conditioner for the first time in 2 weeks.

    While being in the army we have tried to travel to things close by Fort Hood. We found this little slice of heaven one day while driving around. Marble Falls, TX. is beautiful. It's close by the water and has the best diner that I think I have ever really tried. My favorite is their Pecan Pie. I have never had any better pecan pie then ...

    ... by keeping the back of my cooling vest cool. I hope I have pictures of the soggy travellers to share later. I think the hotel staff thought we were totally nuts as most of the group were wet when we arrived.     ... live music from a local group. Dave and Bonnie had catfish and I had salmon which I shared with Dave and he shared his catfish with me. Service was a bit slow but friendly. The music was OK, but definitely from a very local group.

    God Bless all the people who made the Lake Travis area dream a reality. And bless the men for their local talent and desire to entertain local folks.
