We left our hotel in Atlanta and headed to the zoo. We have seen enough zoos but the kids were excited to visit this one because there was a baby rhino, gorilla, orangutan and pandas. It was drizzling when we got there and then started pouring. We were patient and got to see the baby gorilla and orangutan. We made it to Memphis as the sun was setting.
It is getting tougher to blog regularly. We did not have wifi at the Hilton because you had to pay for it and we were too cheap. We drove 6 hours on Thursday from Hilton Head but made good time and arrived in Atlanta at around 3 pm.
We drove straight the the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. We spent about three hours here. I think the kids are starting to connect the dots in terms of the connection between the Civil War ...
... and picked up a few items and a bottle of red.
We met the vroup inthe vrrandah room for dinner and met the 4 new people. Ian & Jocelyn and Grahame & Christine.. Very nice meal soup, fish, beef etc.
Had a drink downstairs afterwards then off to bed for an early start, for tomorrow we go to ...

We finished up the race yesterday, it was cool to watch 4 wide drag racing, something to see if your into car racing. had a good time in Charlotte......nice track and nice racing facility (Dragstrip, dirt track, stock car racing) I'm sure there is a road course somewhere.
