    Mediocre hotel with friendly staff

The staff was very friendly and helpful but the hotel is dull and dreary.

Room was an adequate size but bathroom was small and although it smelled heavily of bleach and cleansers the tub was old and stained. Furnishings are sparse but adequate.

The plan for this morning was to do nothing.  A plan we successfully achieved with very little effort on our part. The only real task in the plan was to call Orange Torpedo Rafting and setup an afternoon half-day whitewater rafting trip.  One thing I learned about the Pacific Northwest, when the weather report …

Today we are off to Crater Lake National Park. We heard lots of good things about this park from people we have met on the road. When we were gassing up the bike this morning, we ran into another couple from Iowa, on a Yamaha Motorcycle towing a trailer and heading to the same place. As we began the ascent on OR-138E, OR-230E, and OR-62E, the …

    Oregon Safari!

Did you know there is a wildlife safari in Oregon? We went there today to see animals from all over the world - up close and personal, well from the car anyway. This place is really neat, they are especially known for their work with cheetah conservation and we were greeted by a cheetah cub when we walked into the pre-safari center. It was so adorable and this cheetah cub is being raised alongside a puppy so that it can be an ambassador for their programming. This is because she ...

... snow and as a result is incredibly clear. It is also very deep- 1943 feet deep, to be precise and because of some very clever scientific thing to do with the colour spectrum, light waves and its depth which I won't bore you with, is an amazing blue. The lake is so breathtakingly beautiful that it entices you into taking hundreds of photographs that all look more or less the same and fail to do it justice. Oddly enough though, it was noticeable that about halfway round ...

We went down to the largest buffet I’ve every seen in my life. After we rolled out of there
we lost a few bucks playing some cards so we thought we’d head up to the room
for our trip to Las Vegas tomorrow. All ...
