... them there to rot away, although they did put up a notice saying how they were working on getting the display together.
Sadly, today, what was once a reasonable collection is just a random set of bits, standing around in chaotic decay.
I took what pictures I could over the top of the fence.
Floyd, New Mexico
We stopped in Floyd to visit one of my old supervisors. She retired from the military several years back and stayed in New Mexico. It was so great to visit with her and her many puppies. We just hope that it will not be as long between visits next time.
Camp Oro Quay for our very first mission. We are really excited.
As I made my way through Clovis I stopped at a rest station to stretch and get a bite to eat. They had a really cool restaurant called Thai City and I ate the Golden Dragon for $10.95. After that I got gas at a Chevron for $41.66.

High on my bucket was (and I say was) Taos. Poor Tom drove about nine hours, some of them in a raging rain storm. Taos was a bust. We immediately headed for Santa Fe.
The ride, however to Taos was nothing short of spectacular. The landscapes were like paintings. We traveled through sage brush fields and majestic mountains. We miss so much of this beautiful country when we travel by plane.
