I will get the ladies up soon for a long day at Universal's two Harry Potter parks. I don't like Universal. Some people prefer it to Disneyworld, but not me. Having said that, the Harry Potter sections are great. It is pretty cool to walk into an imaginary place that we read so much about when the girls were young. The shops ...

... demonstrate. It really is something special.

For dinner we took the boat down the river to City Walk the entertainment area of Universal and had an excellent evening at Pat O'Briens a bar that has duelling piano players playing the requests from guests, great fun with good food too.

Universal is so very different to Disney - here you are an adult and on first impressions the type of people here are very different too or is that being snobbish?

... to get up close to technology you have seen in the past. It is also of course a great historical visit. The sequence we followed in visiting the centre was recommended by the bus driver and it was excellent as any other sequence would have most likely resulted in us not getting to see as much as we did.

This is a must see for anyone visiting Orlando.

... this out - there's always an hour plus wait on standby but I got us some Fastpasses as my two princesses wouldn't ride the Aerosmith Rockin' coaster! Really cool ride - a 4D sideshow alley shooting type ride, lots of fun. We then hit the standby line for the Star Tours ride - 20 min standby was a good wait prior to our Indiana Jones stunt show...but we were blocked by the Fastpass freak. Now there's fast pass and then there's are you serious? This person was letting 50 plus ...

... kid-orientated roller coaster, but as it had a very small queue and the ride went about as fast as Anna was willing to travel for the day, we went on this. Not so thrilling but still good fun.

Across from the rides exit was Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, which like the Gringotts ride in Diagon Alley, was the big draw at this side. The queue had been up to a couple of hours throughout the day, but now was down to 30 minutes, so we agreed we ...
