      ... Magic Kingdom to meet Alison to spend the afternoon doing a few the rides that we had missed in the morning (or vetoed due to the cold - i.e. Splash Mountain). These rides we were able to enjoy, included: Thunder Mountain which had reopened and Splash Mountain which was still cold but manageable. Then we did some shopping along Main Street before we headed back out to go to Downtown Disney.

      ... both great rides. To have a bit of a rest we took the Walt Disney World Railway around the park gaining a good overview albeit dark. From here we went to Pirates of the Caribbean, the Mad Tea Party and awed at the spectacular crystal lit Cinderella's Castle. As we drove from Sheraton Vistana Villages to Sheraton Vistana Resort to pick up the rest of our passengers Marie chatted to the driver and she told us that last night the monorail at Disney World had been hit by lightning and they had to get the fire brigade to get everyone off with ladders.
