... on the day of departure I actually cancelled my plans to go because of a cold front that was making its way through the Orlando area this weekend and that was bringing allot of mositure with it, and because I did not think it would have ended up being a good thing to be sleeping in a tent with two young kids in the pouring rain and with temperatures dipping down into the 40's.

... delayed for over three hours. i still kept my hopes high of our trip going good.I have always loved being in the airport observing people and trying to understand the objective of each ones presence there. Not to forget the multiple shops and eat-outs.So we finally din't realize the passing of time until before we were boarding and were on our way to Orlando.
It was mid November for us at Maryland and we were ...
Today we went for a drive and visited a walmart store - we found some good bargains on t-shirts etc. One interesting thing is that Ipods and other electronics now cost about the same as in the UK. bought a card reader for $13 only to find where I'd hidden mine when we got back to the hotel. so I now have two....

Those who know me know that I am a teacher at heart. I love to share the rich interests of life.
A large map of Japan prominently adorned the living room wall. Marked cities from my travels where connected by highlighter pen tracing my path along the Shinkansen bullet train - Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Mt. Koya, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka. 600 miles in 6 weeks!
Nearby was a table with assorted items, plus cultural artifact I'd ...
... The place was packed !!! Waiting lines topped 2 hours, and the only way around that was to buy an express pass that costs an additional $75 over the $50 admission fee - ouch !!!!
Oh by the way .... I definitely do NOT recommend young children to attend this event. Universal Studios recommends 13 years as the minimum recommended age.
That's all folks.

From there it was off to Everest! The girls wanted to go on this roller coaster!! I am impressed!!! It looked a little scary for Nola let alone Ayva!! But they wanted to go. I hadn't bought a strap for my glasses, so didn't want to go on the roller coaster. Poor Robert!!! He sacrificed himself for his kids and went!! When they came back, he felt like he was gonna die!! and all the girls could say was.... "I want to go again!!!" Ayva at 5 obviously has ...

Orlando, Florida, United States swami_worldtrav... that and it was also nummmmmy. We were both a bit tired after walking all day, so thought we might hit up a movie, but there wasn't anything interesting play so we headed back to the room. We were going to watch a movie in the room to just wind down, but again, nothing interesting worth watching. We did some research on Epcot instead. We poured ourselves an evening beverage and didn't even finish it - too tired. Crashed in no time.
Orlando, Florida, United States justjan... of the bells, the feeling of the wooden ball in your hand... I'm an official skeeball addict. Haha! We've already decided that on our next trip we're going to come to this arcade on our first night to get a bunch of points and then come back to use them throughout the trip. It was only $25 for 1500 points which is an awesome deal! Our next trip can't come soon enough... We eventually dragged ourselves out of there and went back down to the second ...
Orlando, Florida, United States babieemelly... They were Category 3 seats in section 101, a few sections back on the left side of the stage. That's right, we were going to see Cirque Du Soleil! We were psyched! After getting our tickets we went to walk around the West Side and the whole area was packed. I hate how Downtown Disney is so narrow, it makes it hard to get around. We went into Magnetron first which was just completely mobbed. The store is pretty small, too, so it was ...
