      ... interesting. Made a pit stop after 2.5 hrs aboutabout half way. Started looking in lufkin but nothing suitable so we pushed on to nochadagchus the home of stephen f foster university. That was a mistake but found a dollar general store (1st time we have been to one). Girls got to pickout something so they were happy. back on 59 and used google maps to take some side roads which saved time and picturesque. Arrived in texarkana and check in ...

      One other excitement awaited us on the long day.       ... is we need to drive through Greater Dallas, so that should be an experience, wish us luck, from Tye we head to El Paso where we plan to spend a few days.

      Notes from home is that you lost power so our furnace is still not fixed but supposed to be there tomorrow, be glad when that's done so we don't have to worry about it. Feel kind of powerless when so far from home.

      We finally made it to Texas. We are staying right on the border but still here. We drove up to the Crater of Diamonds State Park In Arkansas. You can hunt for diamonds and keep what you find. The ground was really hard and wet so we didn't find a thing. ...
