        It was pretty cool waking up among the tall dense redwoods. But after getting ready for the day, some other natural wonders beckoned - off to Crater Lake. Though Jonathan always seems to have his brain in neutral and says Cradle Lake.

        So a diversion firstly to the National Redwood Visitor Centre where Jonathan inflicted a 12 minute movie about trees on Robyn, and we were heading east, following the Smith River Valley.

        We stopped in Eugene OR for a day and a half then on to
        Grants Pass for another day and a half. These stops are quick so we have to
        tour that way!

        In Eugene we visited the downtown area and enjoyed driving

        ... job of creating a flat top which will result in a very nice connection. We also cut sock liners, the interior sole cover and created patterns for our soles. It all has to get completed tomorrow, our final day. We have a second early start, 7:30am. I'm enjoying this more and more.
