... to go trekking but we saw some excellent sides of the mountain. Over the course of three days, we hiked to three of the best views on the western side: Eagle Peak, Gobbler’s Knob, and Van Trump Park (by way of Comet Falls). It was a refreshing break from urbanity and great to sit out under the stars every night with a campfire.

For these two parks, I'll let the photos speak for themselves for the rest!

... if I couldn't get a spot. That's when I acquired a benefactor, Wyatt "Earp" Rikkenbacher. Wyat is a 60 something BMW motorcycle traveller and he offered to share a site with me. It worked out great, because later that evening after the "no vacancy" sign was put out I was called by name "Cash" as I passed by the Camp Store on "Betty". It turns out some other Bicycle Tourist recognized me and "Betty" from the Bike/Hiker camp site at Burney Falls ...
