    We had a huge day of walking and sightseeing, a squirrel tried to hitch a ride on the pushchair in the park and we narrowly avoided a worrying gas explosion in the East Village on the way back to the hotel.

    ... didn't open till 11.00am, our first stop was Cheryl's Global Soul a nearby cafe run by a Jamaican woman I'd found on the very useful internet. I'd seen a photo of Cheryl too, so I recognised her sitting at the table beside us.
