After leaving NY we caught the bus to Newark, New Jersey just a twenty minute ride into the next state to pick up our hire car. After an hour of trying to get a rental agreement with the correct amount on it from a very helpful lady with an actual moustache, styled and everything, we had our wheels!! Our very massive pimped out wheels. The …

9/11 memorial and a most unusual piece of theatre!

The 9/11 memorial was as moving as you would expect from those that were witness to that fateful day and all its ramifications. The memorial is done really well and what touched me the most was the survivor tree - a blackened stump that came out of the rubble, was nursed back to health and stands proud amongst the other trees at the memorial.

This area seems to be an exact copy of the pond in Paris, but over there the kids use batons to push the boats out into the pond, then run around the outside until they can push their boat again as it drifts towards the edge. I liked it much better, especially because here there is a cranky man who must be in charge of the boats who spends his time telling everyone ...

... minutes to change and get back on the subway to Manhattan. We had enough time when we got there to grab a quick snack before the show. Chicago was fabulous!! Everything was great. I especially enjoyed this show because the musicians were on the stage and were part of the show the entire time instead of hiding down in the pit! We had a great time but now we were starving. We walked through Times Square on our way to find a restaurant. This is an experience that I can ...
