In between the second and third show, I glanced over at the camel ride to see an elderly woman sitting on the camel and laughing as she enjoyed her ride. You couldn't help but smile and laugh along with her.

riding and roping all kinds of animals, bulls, horses, calves ...
It hasn't just been me; most everyone I talked to on the lot were having an off day today. We couldn't really pinpoint it...the weather was nice, the lot is big and roomy (though it has very little grass cover so we're all anticipating getting stuck in the mud after the weekend storms blow through), and the jump was only 20 minutes.

... working well at the library anyway, so I’m glad we didn’t. Neither of us slept well the night before so it was nice to relax a little bit, catch up on some chores around the house, and prepare for the show.
Emilie came to visit in the afternoon and we hung out until we realized that more time had passed than we thought (it was 4pm when she left), so we scrambled to get the props reset and ticket boxes set up at the front gates in time. ...
... in a restaurant was so very much needed and the three of us had a great time. Right after we were seated, a couple walked in and were seated a couple of tables away from us; turns out it was the man who directs our traffic and parks everyone at our shows on the weekend! You can't go anywhere in the general vicinity of the circus without running into someone from the show. :)
We got back to the lot around 3pm and went to work resetting props. ...
