Taking advantage of the lakeside scenery and indoor alcohol curfew at the hostel, we predrink in style out on the pontoon and head off into town. As I begin to lose control of motor function I can tell I am definitely back with the Brits.

We arrived last night at the Austin Lone Star RV Resort at 7:15. Lordy, what a long ride from Little Rock. The Dallas-to-Austin part took way longer than we thought it would, so we spent 10 hours and five minutes cranking out the last 500+ miles to finish the trip. Of course, all this really means is that we're half way done because we do it all again in reverse starting Monday morning.

... Manuel's, an award winning upscale Mexican restaurant on Congress Ave. The enchiladas and mole were the best on the planet! The Rellenos were on fire and the waitress graciously traded the dish out for one less spicy. Dave had read about a Christmas lighting tradition in a neighborhood near the upper part of Guadalupe street. Somehow we found it and enjoyed this funky Austin custom.
