Rotorua is a center for the Maori culture . The Maori settled here about a thousand years ago and they have held firmly to their traditions and culture. In addition to being the center of Maori culture, Rotorua sits on a geothermal plane complete with bubbling mud pools, geothermal geysers and steam vents. Today was another lazy wandering day around Venice. We walked to the canals, which were gorgeous then spent the afternoon enjoying the beach. Another hot sunny day. After breakfast Sylvia took us to LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) to purchase tickets for the Hollywood Costume Exhibition which we will go back & see on Monday morn, Sylvia & Gerry are members of LACMA. Once clean and refreshed we took our midnight mooch around our immediate vicinity; to take in the pretty starlights and peaceful residential area just tucked back from the busy boulevard.
