    Our first stop on the road to South America was an overnight in Dallas, Texas on Spencer's B-day. So, I scouted out a famous BBQ place that was close to the airport and our hotel - Hard Eight Texas BBQ was it! We ordered a tray of meat - seriously.     0900. Had a little of a late start. But we're on the road! 1120. First stop. Julie's deli & market for lunch! 1400. Made it! Checked into our hotel. Cute place! Room #741. 1430.     Seriously, for the first state I ventured out to completely on my own, this was the single best trip I could have asked for.
