    ... get those in Johannesburg. One amusing event occurred, the check-in agent told me she could only check my suitcase as far as Atlanta, not all the way to Dallas, because they didn't have an arrangement with Delta, and because I would have to collect my suitcase at the first port of entry to pass customs.

    I told her that she could check the bag to Dallas and that all passengers would have to claim their bags in Atlanta, ...

    From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...

    ... is more of a first birthday tradition to have a smash cake but we thought it would be fun - and it was!!

    The next day, we went to Mama's work where there was a grand Elmo party. It was great to see everyone. Addy really enjoyed the salami and honey sesame cashews! She also loved the frosting off the cake. There were so many presents! We had clothes, books, a shopping cart, hand-painted personalized Frozen shoes, ...

    0900. Had a little of a late start. But we're on the road! 1120. First stop. Julie's deli & market for lunch! 1400. Made it! Checked into our hotel. Cute place! Room #741. 1430. Started our hike to the observation tower. Took the stairs up. Hiked back down. 1740. Back to the hotel. Have some time to kill before dinner. Jumped into the pool & hot tub. 1900.     ... and we discussed how gross fish bites sound then noticed a man right next to them eating fish bites which made us all laugh. Todd left me and Kristin at the table and somehow she managed to flick her cup right under the fish eater, and I roared! I'm pretty sure the fish guy was not amused, but I thought it was incredibly funny!
