... to stay on board a 110 ft Sailboat, where Norman and old friend or ours is Captain. So at least our creature comforts are taken care off, after having a tough day on the road. Richard and Lulu, old sailing friends from East London that sailed across many years ago helped us a lot with fixing little things on the van. Richard has a yacht repair and maintenance business in Fort Lauderdale so tools were no problem.
Wednesday 28 we left at last ...
... but was not impressed with the "cold" temperature and quickly backed out. It wasn't a good day for swimming anyway.
We left for a ship around 1:15 PM. It was an easy cab ride. Our luggage was taken and away and magically appeared in our cabin about an hour later. Processing was easy and quick, helped by the fact we have a suite cabin. We were in our cabin before we knew it.

... they drip freely from our mouths during our initial tour of the ship. We have seen plenty of pictures and videos beforehand but they don't do it justice. The scope and scale do not come across in a 2D picture or on a flat screen TV. I am worried about Peter's forefinger which seems to have developed a spasm as it's continually pressing the shutter button on his camera. ... lived in Gymea Bay and are called Norma & Les!
(Coincidence – our closest friend in OZ are Norma & Les Dobell and they lived in Gymea Bay before they moved North to the Sunshine State.
To top-off the coincidences … Les worked for Qantas!! …… it really is becoming an even smaller world.)
So we had an interesting night where the stories and conversation around the table never stopped.
... time I am very serious when I say that NEXT year we will limit the amount of gifts per kid. Really. I am very serious. :o)
