... not the reptile kind, but a funky little shop that Sold Day of the Dead sugar doll stickers, pendants etc. Coasters with sayings like. ... shoes. There are 2nd hand shops where I could spend all day. Oh wow and I would love to buy loads of stuff and freight home. ... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. ... was amazing! We were given a studio apartment with a full kitchen and a gorgeous modern bathroom. What made it so nice however, were the staff. Between 5 and 7pm they hosted canapés and drinks, and Vaughan made sure that we didn't miss any of this as they were serving tortillas and soft cookies.

Although we had headed over to check in our room wasn't ready and so we decided to drive to the stockyards at Fort Worth to have a nice steak lunch and watch the cattle ...

... and there must be a load of wealth in Dallas! The double story beautiful houses lined the roads. We checked out the JFK Memorial because that is where he was assassinated. We walked around and seen the Dallas museum of Art. We decided to camp a bit out of town at Lloyd Park beside the lake $15 each for a spot. It was a beautiful quiet spot surrounding us was greenery.
