We had planned to have continental breakfast at the hotel around 8:30, but we were running a little late. Breakfast ended at 9:00, but the lady at the hotel brought some food out for us even though it was 8:55. We thought 9:00 was early for breakfast to end, but at least we got something.
We headed to the French Quarter for a walking tour at 10:00. New Orleans wasn't what either of us expected. We first drove through a really run-down area. ...

We carry ...
... bring us to a sceeching halt for a time and so I started looking for a campground closer to Houston. Well, the GPS told us ETA in Beaumont would be about 5:30. Of course that would be straight driving and since we're older, we knew we would have to stop a couple of times, making ETA closer to 6pm. We decided to go for it.
We made our mandatory stop at Buckees and then since we had 32 ounce drinks, another stop to get rid of the drinks and switch drivers. ...
