This hotel was under $70 for three of us in 2 queen beds. It was a comfortable room with all appropriate amenities, was clean and the staff were helpful. There was also the use of a pc and breakfast was included.

... looking at my phone when it happened! When we got almost to St. Louis, we got off the highway to go to a place called Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park. I read this was the best spot to get a picture of the Arch and the St. Louis skyline. When we got there we had the place to ourselves so we got some great photos! We then got back on the road since we still had about 2 1/2 hrs ahead of us before our campsite for the night in the Mark Twain state park near Hannibal, ...
Today was a very enjoyable day. Load in went like any other. We had a great sized dock, so it was a smooth operation. Hot as blazes, but smooth.
The day got really interesting and cool as well around 5PM. I have a friend that lives on the St. Louis outskirts. (Past days in Korea with my old unit.) I invited her and her husband to come down to the show and I would show them around the backstage. It went ...

In our continuing "research project" on barbeque we went to Bandana's BBQ and had another great dinner. This time the pulled pork was the star along with the side dishes of baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad and fried okra.
Tomorrow we are looking forward to touring St. Louis and seeing the Arch!
... Not happy. Can't drive on a road trip. Can't contact my family. Can't buy what I want, when I want. I have to request money from someone, and I haven't had to do that in a decade and rarely even when I was married. I feel violated, and stupid that I allowed this to happen. Probably if I'd just had my old backpack with me it wouldn't have looked worth stealing, but noooooo...I had to go and buy an attractive red leather bag. Okay, ...
The title says it all. It's too hot to go outside but we go anyway. Went to visit
Roger & Esther Willey for lunch Thursday.
Our remodeling to bring washer & dryer upstairs has been proceeding slowly.
We hope to have them up in the next few days.
Ron will need surgery on his achilles tendon, it is scheduled for 7/16. Please keep
us in your prayers.
