... ago.. The fit one's did a FAST morning walk - me almost running with the fast pace set by Gene (I had forgotten he had done marathons, walking in the past) and he set a cracking pace. I enjoyed seeing the different type of gardening,( as I struggled to keep up) - no lawns but 'anything' grows in the desert, as long as it is watered, and the private gardens were beautiful. Because if I hadn't decided to change my flights I would now have been on my route to... Costa Rica indeed. Instead I will arrive there on Monday afternoon and I just hope that will give them enough time to recover. In any case, I think the presence of the windmill today was a lucky sign. Big, fun day at Legoland today. We are getting pro at catching the bus now, although our little campers had a bit of trouble waking up. An early night tonight methinks.
I was bracing myself for yet another crowded, noisy theme park, but was pleasantly surprised; the crowds were 'manageable' - the longest we waited for any ride was about 15 minutes - and while the vibe was fun, it wasn't quite so frenetic.

We manage to get out of bed okay – I think the "Theme Park" cure for jetlag is working! We are a little later than we could be, but hey, we're on holiday! We walk over and get a buffet breakfast from the Lego restaurant again (and George really enjoys some bacon). The kids are itching to go and play in the Lego pits near reception, so we get back to our room quickly and get ready to go out.
