Sunday November 2nd
We left Yuma and headed for John and Bertha's in El Centro. They drove us to the cruise port in San Diego. The Statendam would be our home for the next 31 days. Our cruise will be taking us from San Diego to Peru then back to San Diego. We had a nice lunch on the Lido deck then we just wandered around, familiarizing ourselves with the ship's layout. The Holland America ships are laid out basically the same except for minor things depending on their size. ...
... from Todd today tells us , he and Talley left Florida in 90 degrees on Thursday , flew to Chicago to meet friends with tickets to the game - and he tells us today it is snowing!!!! hope the All Blacks are prepared for a cold game!!!
Train back to LAX Sunday for our flight Sunday night to Brisbane - looking forward to a 2 week homexchange and returning to NZ on the 17th November.
