      ... The hostel is a really nice place. Prolly one of the best hostels I've stayed in and I'm lucky enough to be working here. Kind of thinking it'd be nice to be here longer than a month, then again I've been spending money a bit fast, especially on alcohol. Oh well can't help the essentials right.       This morning started with a room change. Not that there was anything wrong with last night's room, but Michael wanted to have a Pirate Room as he believed he would get a hat and a sword! The Pirate Room is great but no hat and sword. Very sad boy :-(

After walking past the court house, county jail and a number of dodgy people, (Gretchen was pretty sure one bloke had a gun) we thought we were in the wrong end of town so made a quick right and ended up in the Gaslamp district, where food and drink is aplenty.
