It has a 700 acre park that is owned by King County and has a marine reserve in it. The lighthouse is famous and it is also on Maury Island. On the way back to the ferry, we saw a raccoon and some deer. I am quite happy about this getaway and it was great to spend some time with my wife!

I met my cousin Joseph for the first time and was pleasantly surprised to find that my cousin John T had been able to get time off to come up from Texas (yes, the rest of you are chop liver ;0) It was nice just to hang out, chat, catch-up with everyone. ... funny was that the locals at Safeway already know Claire. She has made friends. They do not know how to check an English Identification to buy alcohol and she is 37 years old. They had to call the store manager to look at the ID. Orting is a very isolated place in between two mountains in a valley that does not get a lot of diversity, so Claire is pretty much the only English person that has ever been here.
