... morning. We ended up sleeping 6 persons and 1 dog in 2 beds and 3 other persons on the floor. What a crazy night! We had a lot of fun though :)

      Day 2: September 28, 2014

At 8.30 Gonzalo and I were still completely passed out until James woke us up. We realized we were sleeping in one bed together with Amanda and her medium-sized 13-year-old dog. It took us maybe 15 minutes to make Gonzalo stand up and follow us to our car we had left on the street last ...

We went to wine country today. Our tour was only a half day and thank goodness for that. I have discovered that I am not a classy wine drinker. Give me a beer or a cheap wine cooler. Or maybe even that stuff (can't remember the name) that Dyan and Mercy drinks. This $30 - 50 dollar a bottle stuff that we tasted today is only good for staining the carpet. It was an informative sailing with the main bits of interest pointed out to us plus information on how and when the bridge was built. After the sailing we wandered around Fisherman's Wharf and ended up in the one hour queue for the famous San Francisco Tram. It was well worth the ...

... wined and tritipped out. One day in the following week, I decided to do some sightseeing in San Francisco. I took the local train to downtown and headed towards the harbour side; towards the Golden Gate Bridge. On the way, I walked through a pedestrianised square holding what appeared to be a large sculpture which, encompassed inter - crossing metal tubes. On closer inspection, flights of metal stairs lead up to the middle of the construction; triggering my curiosity. Walking ...

Well, what can I say? I didn't prepare for this day as well as I should have. As I was saying my goodbyes to Marianas, it hit her that I was really leaving. Her eyes filled with tears which truly showed how much she would miss me. I told her to just to be strong and that I'll see her soon. It never occurred to me how emotional she would be when I leave. I guess the mother ...
