This is a gated property-- that sends a message about the neighborhood. Unfortunately, animals are kept on the third floor-- how does that make sense? Charlie soon realized the air conditioner was leaking and the carpet was soaked. The hotel quickly switched our room-- it's not as big or generously furnished as Moab, but it is nice enough, with a frig and microwave.

We had breakfast at the casino, an Iron Skillet, so that was fine. Good fresh fruit bar and I made a sausage sandwich for the road from my leftovers. We took advantage of a quiet Sunday morning to get an oil change-- less than fifteen minutes. We were in California soon after, having a short stop for an agriculture inspection. We were driving …

We got a few extra dishes to try courtesy of George-oh and a cocktail:) There wasn’t a lot of food but it was very tasty (gourmet). We arranged to meet George at his house at 10pm. We ...
... Boarded the cable car at the bottom of Hyde Street for the journey back to the hotel, great photo opportunities and some spectacular architecture. Hopped off at Geary Street and walked four blocks, found dinner at Chipolte, our new found Mexican favourite, tasty and relatively cheap. Arrived back at hotel about 18:00, had showers and settled down, nice to have an early night, we are all becoming increasingly tired, generally running out of steam ( and money) ...
... recommended a restaurant called Delancey. He said its run by a foundation that helps troubled young people get back on the rails by supporting them and giving them jobs within its business's for two years. He said the food and service is great and that he knows that because he worked there for 2 years, when his life had gone off the rails "through the choices I'd made." We started the tour at midday on a brilliantly clear day ...
