Up. Cereal for breakfast. Sorted our car hire with the hotel concierge-booked with enterprise who would pick us up at 12 noon. Went on the internet and booked Alcatraz tickets (had a stroke of luck and managed to get tickets for the night tour:). Organized to stay with Rachel (who we met at Colca Canyon)'s mate in Santa Barbara. Printed off directions to San Francisco. Everything is slowly falling into place. Checked out and waited for our car. It got ...

... where they also apparently have "copy bags", but again its a "follow me" thing.

We thought we'd have a look around for somewhere to eat on the way back to the hotel, and settled on Sears Fine Foods, a restaurant established in 1938. After looking at the menu in the window, and checking out what people were eating through the window, we decided on the "Sunday Special", which was Della’s Fried Chicken (whipped potatoes, green beans, milk gravy) and ...

... dancers. The women projected a dynamic and brilliant vibe of energy and spirited singing. We all danced the night away, doing tequila shots and drinking beer. Everyone was very excited about the following weekend because it was time for the tritip competition! Pat had kindly agreed to let us stay in her house for the weekend which was great as the competition was located at a winery called Fieldstone that was around a 5 minute drive from her house. It was just amazing being back ...
