    ... was settling and noticed how quaint, beautiful, & charming it was Cristina and I immediately looked at eachother and without hesitation we said we need an extra day.

    Immediately checked in to El Dorrado ran for some local fare and called it night. Hotel was beautiful, clean & cozy so it was a good call. Oh and managed to squeeze in some hot tub/pool time on the roof.

    This morning we woke up at 6:30 and were sat outside of Franklin bbq by 8am. We weren't even near the front, instead about 40th in the queue, we took chairs and books and sat there for a few hours, the staff came out and chatted to us all and asked what we were going to order (or in our case, helped us decide) we also grabbed coffee from the coffee truck that was parked up and waited patiently, it was quite relaxing, everyone just sat there, some ...

    ... people in this area 12,000 years ago and also there were Mammoths, very large bisons, large bears and even armadillos roaming this area then. Most of the landmark is open fields with native grasses and trees, but there is a nice interpretive center with exhibits there.

    The weather is better today, at least it's not raining, just a little cool. Tomorrow it's supposed to be better, at least I hope since we're going to Palo Duro Canyon tomorrow. ...
