Great Value

I though the hotel was a great value. It was close to Disney and the pools were very nice. Although we had a few problems, the staff was friendly and they were fixed right away. Nobody's perfect! If there is a problem let the hotel and give them a chance to fix it. Try this hotel. I think that you will have an enjoyable stay.

Superb Hotel

I was very impressed with this hotel. Having read some of the reviews on the internet I was very unsure that we had done the right thing by booking this hotel. When we walked in we were greeted by very friendly staff, checked in quickly and was shown to our room. The room was clean and the maid service was superb. The pool was warm and there was towels provided both in the room and by the pool.I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to friends.

Not what I expected

I was disapointed when we entered our room. The first thing that my eye noticed badly water stained carpeting at the doorway. Our main living area was clean and dust free, but the air conditioner was filled with mold, and smelt. The bathroom was filthy...mold build up on the tile and around the grab bar, the tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I ended up cleaning it myself as I would not shower in such filth. Also water temperture was not consistant while showering. The bathroom ceiling was dirty. What was good about the hotel it was very convient to the major theme parks. The pool was nice, I found the staff that I delt with friendly.

Great value for the money we spent

went there not knowing what to expect from this hotel because the price was really low, first impression was were can i find a new hotel, went in to check in and thought not so bad main entrance let's check out the rooms. we too were given a room the furthest from entrance( have to tell you that 1 minute walk to the restaurants is a killer) know matter where you stay in this hotel you have a pool, ice machine,pop machine & laundry room within a 1 minute walk & that is if you walk really really slow. this hotel is a bargin fo the money would stay again everyone was very friendly pool was great kids never wanted to leave. if you are expecting a 5 star resort pay the $ 200.us and stay some where else for the money you are paying here you really can't go wrong . i give this hotel a thumbs up.

FAR Below Expectations

I requested they switch my room because the bathtub was filthy. Unfortunately, the second room was worse. Not only was the bathtub disgusting, but there was mildew on the ceiling. I didnt ask for a third room because I was too scared to see what it would look like. I stayed because the room was paid for and I wouldnt get a refund. I bought flip-flops for the shower and a can of disinfectant at a nearby drugstore. After my first shower, there was a white stripe in the bathtub. Apparently, my flip-flops lifted the dirt off the bathtub. Don't even get me started on the mattress... DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL. You're on vacation - pay an extra $20 and get yourself a room youll enjoy. Believe me, you wont regret it.

Hotel this is not what you expect

We arrived in Orlando for our thought to be relaxing vacation to find out that the Four Points Sheraton did not exist and was somehow purchased by La Quinta as of Jan 01/2003. "Strike One". Only a small sign stating the change was posted and extremely hard to locate the hotel. First and foremost why were we not informed by the company that this change was to take place. "Strike Two" The staff and personnel at the resort claimed they knew the change was happening for four (4) months. La Quinta hotels and resorts may live up to a certain standard of hotels in different areas, but this one was not even close to the standard of a Four Points Sheraton. Secondly the room that was promised was not even close to our expectations. I

recommend that you stay far away from this hotel?? or

establishment until it is completely renovated unless you like dirty rooms, damp sheets, mold smelling rooms, and occasionally some running water this is your place. "Strike Three Your Out"

Sheraton four points by smelly lakeside

Arrived from England, checked in quickly. Was given a room in the furthest away block from all the amenties as possible, put this down to being from England and on a package holiday! The pool was no where in sight! First night settled into bed, got up to use the bathroom, whats that noise i thought, when there happily strolling across the side was the biggest cockroach i have ever seen! Not one to usually complain, i was straight on the phone, they did move us straight away to the room above us. The surface of the rooms were clean however look more closley and you were sure to find cobwebs and badly stained carpets. Still not being happy with the room i decided to take things up with the holiday rep the next day, they weren't very helpful, needless to say they are probably the biggest holiday provider in the uk, and they name this hotel a flagship hotel and give it 4 stars!

Arriving back at the hotel they then gave us a choice of a further 3 rooms, next to the pool which was a bit better however the standard of the rooms weren't! Decided to make the most of it however and got on with the holiday, luckily we didn't find much time to spend in the hotel! Breakfat buffet wasn't that good, other services in the hotel were very expensive, easier to walk 5 minutes onto the main road for them. Staff didn't appear friendly or welcoming.

Posistives about the trip, yes there are some!

Location for the hotel is good, transfers were good from the hotel, good location for non drivers able to walk to quite a few restraunts and shops.

We did have a fantastic time on holiday and we will be going back however not to the four points.

I'm sure if your from America and your doing Disney for the weekend on the cheap it would be satisfactory for you, but like us from England search around a bit more you will find better!

Sheraton Lakeside

Sheraton Lakeside is the best hotel we have stayed at. Stayed twice and would certainly stay again.

Disappointing

The hotel fell far short of our expectations.

It was not a good sign that a guest was demanding a room change as we were waiting to check in.

Our first room was dirty and the second only marginally better.

In all we saw 4 guests complaining about their room.

The whole site had the feel of having seen better days and in need of a major refurbishment.

As always we enjoyed Orlando but the only good thing that came out of staying at the Sheraton 4 Points Lakeside was the willingness of Virgin Holidays to compensate us for the poor standard of our accomodation.

Sheraton

sheraton is the best hotel ive ever been to!The rooms are spotless .The staff are ever so friendly . The swimming pools are big. They have a breakfast shop ,a greenhouse restaurant, an arcade , a play area and amini golf coarse . Its really close to the parks only 1.5 miles. If i had to rate it out of 100 it would be 100 it definetly deserves its four points.
