We got a little later start to our morning then planned but still got to magic kingdom by 10. We turned the 10 minute drive to magic kingdom into a 45 minute tour... Best not to ask. Driving to the Magic Kingdom is a different experience. We had a long walk from the parking lot and thought hat taking the complimentary tram was for wusses. We were wrong! We were near fried before entering the gates. I got stung in the forehead by a ...

We spent our past couple of days getting needed sunshades, wheel covers, and doing laundry, etc.. I haven't mastered our Splendide washer/dryer combo. Two and a half hours for a load of undried clothes is a bit much for my patience. So I headed to a laundromat to do six loads! Only to find out we have a beautiful coin laundry right much for exploring! I'll master it when Bruce is busy at the "other house". We ...

The plan was to relax by the pool until lunchtime, go to Downtown Disney for some lunch and then a nice nine holes of golf, followed by a final evening swim before poolside movie. Well, we have been home for a week. It's amazing how quickly the time has passed and how quickly South America feels like a dream. As with our QM2 voyage, we look back at our trip to contemplate the experience. This month comes down to the same elements as our QM2 trip: the ship, the places, and the people.

The ship: The Queen Victoria is a lovely ship. She is elegant, warm, and comfortable. This maiden voyage around South America ...

    Afternoon Tea then Magic Kingdom

A travel blog entry by 2gibsonclose on Jan 24, 2014

Bit of a lie in today followed by afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian Hotel. Very nice - She Who Must Be Obeyed had one similar to the ones you get at places like Bettys in York whilst I had pate, cheeses and port. Very civilised!!

Wend from there to the Magic Kingdom to see the new areas of Fantasyland. All looks very good - The Beast's Castle looks awesome and She Who Must Be Obeyed had a Le Fou's Brew in Gaston's Tavern.

    Went on Pirates of ...
