We went through security, then to our gate. We keep checking the flight screens and ours says "awaiting aircraft." The time of departure gets later and later. Our connecting flight is looking more and more impossible. DH had heard something about a strike, but United will tell us it was the weather.

... Apparently marijuana can treat much more than glaucoma—should you happen to feel anxious, or stressed, that is apparently a valid medical reason to have a prescription.

And so there it is, in broad daylight. And not just one store, but several of them. Many seemed to be owned by the same company- a franchise- proving that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in all industries.

... Hollywood Blvd in search of the bar Grace was playing at, Harvard and Stone. Being the super organised person that I am I forgot to write down the address of the bar and only knew the vague direction. We went into the nearest Starbucks to mooch off their wifi but found that we'd have to buy something. After investing in a cookie, Nick was given a half dollar(!!!), something of a rarity in the USA, which we proceeded to rant about as we left the unimpressed ...

... very surprised to see Dena Stone from State Farm at the banquet. I had hired her into Air Travel many years ago. She since has moved to Systems. She was with a group of people from up in Wenona and Minonk. Haven't seen her in several years. Great to see her.
