It was unusual for me to hear a dog barking in a nearby room. Hotel was otherwise of a reasonable standard and clean.

Just grabbed breakfast at McDonald's and gas after 2 hours on the road already. Stayed in Knoxville TN. It's been a wet and beautiful drive so far this morning. Of course it's just now daylight and starting to rain. We can tell we have gone north as we started out about 68 when we left hotel and by the time we stopped for gas we were all digging our sweaters out of the trunk. It is now 57 and dropping. ...

Well it has been a whirlwind of a trip. We took two weeks and have seen so much! The sights have been awesome. Things we had never seen. I think everyone should go to Yellowstone at least once - it was amazing.

... the home is minimal; hope they don't bother Emily -- that's a lot of hope. And what would a road trip be without barbecue? We stumbled onto a family-run hole-in-the-wall place (Eatz on Moore Street) which happened to serve a nice sliced pork sandwich. Patty was drawn more to the meatloaf. Good stuff. We had a nice chat with the owner/manager who had time on his hands -- it was a quiet night in this little place. Tennessee ...

... you that know me, this is a HUGE challenge for me. I am the planner who plans everything. Our camper is self contained (generator, water, etc.). So, the worse thing that can happen to us is that we will stay in a Walmart parking lot!!!.

          Stay tuned for pictures.

... t know where this will lead at this point. Needless to say, I'm not very happy with the mechanic who did this job for me less than a year ago. It was a total heater core replacement should've solve this permanently. Very pretty country to drive through. Tennessee is gorgeous. The roads are good, the KOA's are good, and the weather is cooler. This particular KOA, blountville, has a small little restaurant in operation. We ordered ribs with ...
