    Cold and wet!

    ... to be hot weather all the way!) The locals said it was 95F on Monday, now it was a lot closer to 40F (F is used in the USA rather than C). More layers and a change of jacket solved the cold conditions and a big mug of hot chocolate warmed all my bits back up again. Bridget's heated grips did a fine job of keeping my hands warm whilst riding but on the high setting for most of the way, I ended up with a couple of blisters!

    The drive from Denver is a long one about 9 hours. Matt drove about 8 hours.

    Before home we had to:

    1) Pick-up my car from long term parking

    2) Return our rental car

    3) Most importantly, pick Octavius up from the Pet Ranch!

    ... Junior Rangers. Then it was time for the trip up the arch. We boarded a tiny tram car, which was a little pod that carried us to the top of the arch. It felt like being in a space capsule. At the top, there were tiny viewing windows with great views of the city. It was a little bit claustrophobic, so we didn't stay too long but headed down the other side of the arch.
