    I made reservations at a La Quinta Inn in Irvine because Jim was familiar with it and he said it was decent. My reason was because it is advertised as "pet friendly". It worked for us and the "boys" very well, because I had booked ahead all of our stops at La Quinta's all the way to Salem, Virginia! And they were very 'pet friendly"!

    ... we stopped at Farmer's Market and The Grove shopping area for about an hour and a half. After coffee and doughnuts (healthy!) we looked around some shops. It was quite a nice place, decked out in Christmas decor like everywhere else. Americans obviously really endorse the "Happy Holiday" spirit.     ... day ..... We were exhausted. Another long sleep in and then more car part shopping. We also needed to buy another suitcase to fit stuff in hehe.     ... this morning was in the park at the Plaza Inn where we were greeted by some of the characters. I saw Tigger, Chip n Dale, Minnie, Penguin from Mary Poppins, and Pooh. I took pictures with most of them. I learned today that one way to tell Chip from Dale is that Chip has a black nose like a chocolate chip and Dale has a redder nose. I was excited because at breakfast they had waffles.
