Another drive today, this time to Seabrook which is 20 minutes south of Houston. It was a 4 hour drive and we were surprised by the amount of greenery and trees around during the drive. I will probably encounter Adélies, Chinstraps and Gentoos, but the Emperors usually breed to the south of the area I will visit. Recent research however suggests that there are a couple of colonies in the Antarctic Peninsula - the smart ones, it's not as cold further north! I will keep my eyes peeled for these exotic birds.

... little raccoon, begging for food from the tourists idiot enough to feed him. I was not so idiotic, but I did take a picture--he looks quite woebegone.

We had dinner at a little Mexican restaurant next door--very authentic. We were the only white people there. Very good food and reasonably priced, and, best of all, we could walk.

Tomorrow, we're headed to the Houston Museum of Art and a drive-in.

... rotten, I should say that the rides were definitely not in the Adventure World league and were definitely not scary (even for me)!
Having been disappointed by the rides we decided to console ourselves with food.
