Three small English call ducks were selected as "guinea pigs," and the reaction was nothing short of enthusiastic. Soon, five North American Mallard ducks would replace the original ducks. ... one missing is the one that had the majority of our USD cash. Obviously we had to forget something! But after some panicked phone calls trying to find it (not at home or in the car!) and frantically going through our bags multiple times and reassuring ourselves it wasn't a big deal - we had our passports and could withdraw more cash in Houston - we found it! ... up, the neighbourhood gets slightly better but not that much. The hotel was tucked away with high walls and warnings about trespassing. I enter and rather then an open office or lobby I talk through a glass window into a booth. I have had too many hotel rooms that stunk like smoke so I made sure that I had a non smoking room. The Indian who was working in the booth gave me a key and it was on the second floor. I headed up. I walked in and it stunk of smoke. I went back down ...
