There was little of the daylight hours left by the time we returned to the apartment - barely sufficient time to have a pre-dinner drink before Max and Chris headed to the ice hockey while Sarah, Yvonne and Wendy visited Yamato, a Japanese foot massage bar where they enjoyed cocktails with ...

We got into Chicago around 12:30 in the afternoon. My first impression of the city was omg get me out of here! The drivers zipped around you. I thought driving in Toronto could be chaotic at times, but this was something else. We then got off the highway and to our final destination (Luckily our Bnb was directly off the highway).

... I plan to toss along the way to make room for touristy slogan shirts which should turn out to be a good idea.

I did also setup a spreadsheet to track travel expenses as well. I will be taking lots of short flights and overnight trains or buses. The budget goal for this trip is to keep costs equal to or less than what I would spend in Chicago including transport. We'll see how that goes and I will provide some updates on this along the way.
