12F when we awoke can't imagine what 75F even feels like any more. Packed up the car and headed to the airport with our car and house sitter Miss Elizabeth in tow. Our flight was delayed slightly by de-icing however we were soon in the air and heading to warmer climates. Checked in at the hotel (bags all arrived!) ...

... for Tel Aviv on Sunday :) I found out yesterday I'll be living in an apartment with 10 other people. It's going to be insane and beautiful. My work is less than half a mile from my apartment, so I can walk or bike there in less then 10 minutes. I'm super relieved! But before that comes, I'm off to spend a couple days in the big city. Sending love and kisses to all of you. Know that I carry you with me where ever I go.

... and See's candy to take to Michigan and away I went.

I combined my not so good luck with my seat mate's good luck. Luanne was flying home to Detroit too. We were the only three seater in economy that had only two people in it! We stretched out and thoroughly enjoyed the extra room all the way home. Nothing bothered us. All the screaming children were too far away to hear! We chatted and read and slept all the way to Detroit!

... t feeling up to paying extra to risk losing our bags like *cough* other trips. We heard they were doing free strip searches so we lined up for that. During the scan process I got pulled aside for not finishing my bottle of water and they stole Dad's toothpaste and aftershave...so when something starts smelly, we'll know who to blame it on!! Anyway, we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then walked to gate A21...by rule it was the furthest one from ...
