Important things are being worked on. I'm sitting in the customer waiting area of a Toyota dealership in Denver. They service folks got a kick out of my frank retelling of the 120mph incident. Nothing seems to be wrong with the car but they're going to reset the computer and change oil, fluids, etc. Kaya's repairs, unfortunately, aren't as simple. …
We found a few cars that were believed to be stolen but unfortunately because all the plates were missing and the VIN was covered we couldn’t tell 100%, so instead we stickered them up as abandoned and after 3 days more can be done to reclaim them. We had a call out that a 2 year old was walking down the street alone and headed over there, but by the time we got there all was back to normal and the parents had been found.
... the batallion commanders who got stuck in one of the twin towers, and how he survived it all - very interesting read. Once in denver, we got to the car rental place and were kinda pushed into getting an upgrade to a better cat. In hindsight not sure this was the best idea, but there we go... The result is we ended up with a jeep - yes, we got a jeep...!! Not too bad to drive, the steering is incredibly light, ...
... and then it was time to head to Coors Field. Baseball for the uninitiated....was actually not too hard to pick up. Like rounders but somewhat faster! Fabulous family atmosphere though with dancing, anthems, games and even a military tribute to servicemen in the audience. Think we could learn a thing or two from that! Also just an easy place to take children - beer, hot dogs, nachos and popcorn all on sale either ...
... this once I get back from my travels.
3. Egyptian Pyramids
There will be no shortage of things to do, places to see or sense of adventure. At the same time I know that I will need to be constantly aware of my surroundings, careful and smart about my decisions. I look forward to sharing my experiences and keeping in touch through this blog. I am so pumped for this adventure of a lifetime!
