      Nach dem Riesenchaos am Flughafen in Phoenix Ankunft in DENVER. Unseren ursprünglichen Flug hatten wir - wie viele andere Passagiere - verpasst und wurden dann auf die Warteliste für den Mittagsflug gesetzt. Mit Glück kamen wir also noch rechtzeitig fürs Eishockeyspiel am Abend an (die Tickets hatten wir bereits gekauft).

      ... luggage problem went away, the car boot was huge. But then there was the issue of the steering wheel, I opened the door and there was no steering wheel. Just to make sure I had heaps of time to get used to driving, I pulled out of the car park into a freeway, which kept merging and getting bigger and faster. Since I struggle with left and right it added to the whole experience.

      ... li>I almost got left behind in Albuquerque because I took so long deciding which cheap little trinket I wanted to get as a souvenir.

    • We had to go down to the basement of a cousin's house in Hays because of a tornado warning. I'd never in my short life seen a house with a basement.

      ... to drive or walk very well. My mother has Alzheimer's and my father struggles to get around, so they have had a live-in aide for almost two years – one who can’t drive. So I figured I would base myself at their house and couch surf for a while to take my father to his appointments and help out in other ways while continuing to travel.
