After a 12 hour drive, my longest push the whole trip, I arrived in Dallas. I found John and Patty's house, and although it was late, they were both up and waiting for me. Patty and John are old acting friends of my dad. When I was a kid in Los Angeles, we would visit them at there house. These were special visits. John was, and still is, a puppet maker and puppeteer. Some of my ...
Dallas, Texas, United States brandonibolognaOur first stop was to see Tommy (brother) and Debbie (sister) at their house in Dallas. First thing we did was drop off my dry cleaning at my usual spot in The Colony, it is so much cheaper than anywhere in Austin. Afterwards we met Tommy and Debbie at Stonebriar Mall in Frisco to see the New Moon movie. Boy that was a snooze fest, I tried to ...

Dallas, Texas, United States adamsprincesPacking for a one-month trip overseas in generally one climate came quite easy after having to utilize the same packing gear for a trip 6x as long and with many varied climates earlier this year. With my 70-liter pack and a daypack fully loaded, and with two suitcases full of food, clothing and the like requested by my friends at ACA in India in tow, I was ready to head off to Bangalore via London!
Dallas, Texas, United States texaspeyton... seeing an article in National Geographic magazine many years ago, and have wanted to take it in since that time... I can say that it did not disappoint... for I always jump at the chance to take in nature... especially when it resides in the city...
Upon our last day... we all agreed that we like Texas... especially that cute blond family living on the edge of Dallas... a horseshoe's throw away from J.R.'s Ranch...
So it looks as if our attempts to merely show up half-way across the world, passport in hand, may be thwarted. We were just told that we need to actually book our scuba adventure ahead of time! What? Oh geez, I'm not sure we are up to the task ... I think we are both hoping the world's best scuba trip ...
Dallas, Texas, United States lyndseyandkellySlack again. My bad. People We Met: Cowboys. No Indians though. I guess thats how the West was won. This one JFK nut who rather than show all his video on something convenient (like a laptop) had setup a desktop computer on the grassy knoll. It was powered by 4 car batteries. It felt like his stuff must have been important for him to move it all around every day. That or he was just more crazy than everyone else. Trivia: We stayed in Irving like a suburb ...
Dallas, Texas, United States gamblor... recently sold childhood home, it was strange to be living in a familiar city in a new home without my parents (they were still in Florida). However, the apartment was comfortable and spacious for two people. We loved it! Thanks again Mom and Dad. After some beer, March Madness and a movie we passed out easily. WAC, MSG, Gramma and MOA The next morning I woke up early and finished reading my book (Water for Elephants, worth reading!) and wrote a bit ...
