I have met some friends am beginning to familiarize myself with some of Tarragona. Exactly 1 week ago to the minute, I landed in Barcelona for my semester abroad! That seems absolutely crazy! I feel like I have been here for a very long time, but also like I haven't seen enough of Barcelona!

We headed off this morning to a tiny village called Priorat to taste wine from a small winery called Scala Dei (ladder to heaven). we also got to tour the facility and see how they go through the process of wine making, including going into the barrel room. The Scala Dei winery reinvented itself in the 70's and changed the way they made wine - they started adding some stems to their grapes which gave them a superior product.
