    ... done eating, we made our way back to our gate only for me to realize that there was a gate change (thanks Google Now!) and we quickly went to the new gate: C17.     ... the city from the Empire State Building in daylight and wanted to see a similar view at night. Our allocated viewing time was 9:45pm which gave us time to get back to the hotel for a shower, then subway back uptown for dinner before our viewing time. The Top of the Rock is at the top of the tallest Rockerfeller Plaza Building. There are three observation decks, the top one being the rooftop of the 79 floor. The lights go on forever and the photos taken on the iPhone do not do it ...

    After checking in we decided to take a long stroll down to Grand Central Station. It is actually a really easy city to navigate. All the avenues go up and down and the streets across.
