... to the L.A observatory that over looked L.A and we got a good look at the Hollywood sign on the hill. After we took some photos of the sign we drove back down to Hollywood boulevard and we walked along the walk of fame for a bit and then we caught a taxi back to the hotel for a bit of a lay down. Today was a real highlight for the girls - it was the ultimate in that we did what the stars did and we even rubbed shoulders with some of them!

We sort of drifted back to sleep and awoke again properly later. We met up with Dais's cousin and two of her friends for brunch. I had pancakes with blueberries because I'd been fancying that for ages now and Dais had some spicy, eggy Mexican thing that was a little bit yucky. From there we hit up Venice Beach. Half the day ...

... s hero feel to it. Like it was popular 20 years ago but it's glory days are over. Everything we could read about where to eat convinced us that it would be 1; overpriced, and 2; not very good, so after settling in we opted for overpriced, ordinary room service in the comfort of our room. Plus it was cold and foggy outside, so wasn't a bad option. Got up and out of there by 9 and began the last 400kms to ...
