          La Quinta is my go to hotel to stay at when I'm visiting Mesa,Arizona. The staff is friendly and go out their way to make you comfortable 24/7

          Today we bid farewell to the Grand Canyon area, and began our journey east.           ... did stop for several very small naps along the way. It was dark and 106 degrees when I arrived! Seemed to take forever to get the car unloaded-which is all I did-can put things away tomorrow. Got the air and fan on and off to bed!

          Aug 15 Saturday-Spent the day unloading things and putting them away. Just tooooo hot to do much and the AC runs ALL the time. Found that my bike tire tube is split so need to take care of that.

          Aug 16th-More of the same ...

          ... at the rest area high in the mts on I-17. Arrived around one in Jerome where we have a reservation at the Ghost City Inn B&B. Arrived to find sign on door that check-in is at 3PM (shades of Bisbee check-in!!) So parked and walked through the town—did not take that long!! We did stop at Grapes for a bowl of soup.           January 7, 2015 –Wednesday. Maxie, Kristin’s FIL is to have brain surgery today. Hope to hear from her soon. We drove mile to North Ave Diner here in Wakefield for breakfast. Later out to buy wine, coffee and honey. The temp is up to 23 from 15 now at 1pm. Predict -3 for this night!
