Our four mile hike left us a bit tired today. It was hilly country and just right for using the trekking poles, which we used. One does get a better workout using them, I'm told. It must be the upper extremity involvement that does the trick. As septuagenarians, we need it all...

... those three weeks. I know that I was ready to leave when the time came. I was out of juice and I was barely holding my head up. I was no longer up for one more adventure. I wanted to get back to Panama and I wanted to recover.

... The wawa sizzlie Austin got us this morning didn't want to go down. We found a Chickies and Pete's and ordered some martinis and a chicken wrap. Time was killed and wandered back to our gate. Still early. Twilight Zone on Netflix it is. Just short enough and we started boarding. Zone 5 read our ticket. Ugh. By the time we got in line "sorry no more room for carryons". Awesome. Though I guess it worked bc more feet room.
