We climbed out of the valley on the narrow back roads high enough into the Sierra Nevada that we met a snow plough on its way back from clearing the pass up ahead. ... we put about 1,200 miles on the car in 8 days. Fortunately, the car came away unscathed, although there were a few scares along the way. After the second day, I was pretty comfortable driving on the left, but a few times Diane saved us by screaming "Honey!" at the top of her lungs. I was glad that she did that.
